Shadow is overweight and losing hair. It feels rough and when you pet him he acts like it hurts his side. What could this be? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year and 10 months old | 20 lbs

This looks like it may be from an allergy. I would check for fleas first due to distribution of lesions and then consider the food. Your vet can examine it and see if there is a secondary infection that needs to be treated
