Is my cat's lumpy, bald tummy patch from overgrooming serious?

Hi, My cat has a bold patch on her tummy, she has been pulling her hair and over grooming on that area. The skinless patch is really lumpy and I wonder if it could be anything serious? May thanks. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 4 years and 7 months old

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Without seeing Mathilda it is hard to say what is going on. It sounds like it she has an allergic reaction to something. This could be a pollen, dust, fleas, food- anything she could be exposed to. I recommend taking her to a vet so they can see the area and make sure its not a skin infection, too.
