After seeing the vet today, I was given motazol for his yeast ear issue. I put the drops in his ear, but after I got done administering the 8 drops, I realized that it may have been larger drops and I fear I may have given him too much on his first dose. I squeezed the bottle 8 times but if you lightly squeeze it a tiny drop comes out so I know my dosage was a lot more than what should have been administered. help I don't know what to do and don't want him to go deaf!

Do not worry, these formulations are very safe and act locally, even if you apply much more than you should, your dog will not be in any danger, the only problem is that you might finish the drops too soon if you use too much and you might need to buy another bottle from your vet.

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. In regards to ear medication, there is not an exact dosage to give and your dog should be fine. If any neurological signs develop such as a head tilt, walking in circles, etc then I would recommend having a veterinarian take a look at him so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
