This is certainly a very large lesion. Without seeing it in person, I cannot say what the origin is- but it really looks like a big tumor that has become infected. This really needs quick attention from your vet to determine what type of mass this may be and if surgery can be done to address this. Due to the very large size, it may be very difficult at this point to successfully do surgery, but it will only get worse and bigger- so it needs to be looked at right away.

Hi there! Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This definitely looks like some malignant tumor. Possibilities include sarcoma, carcinoma, mast cell tumor, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you take her to your veterinarian as soon as possible for further assessment with a fine needle aspirate which can help determine the type of tumor. Other diagnostics like chest radiographs should be considered to check if the tumor has already spread or not and see what would be the best option for Bama. At the very least they can start pain control medications and antibiotics as it looks infected and painful. Good luck!
