Why is my cat peeing on the couch and has red bumps on his ear?

My cat got these weird red bumps on his outer and now all of a sudden he starts peeing a pooping on my couch I'm extremely worried and want my cat to be around for a long time please get back to me with a possible solution. Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 3 years and 5 months old | 12 lbs

Hi there! Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The ear lesions could be due to ear mites which are quite common in cats. Alternatively, it could be an ear infection or perhaps due to allergies. The urination and defecation inside the house could be behavioral though a medical issue cannot be completely ruled out. I recommend you take him to your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck!
