Hello I would like to make a question.... my dog about 3 weeks ago had a small pink bump in her lips...her lips are normal dark brown/black and one week now suddenly almost all of this side became pink-ish little bit swallen and like a wound above the lip. Doctor said the lip is normal and nothing is wrong with it and the problem is above the lip that she has fungus.... but all started from the lip and I know it's not normal for my dog. Can you please give me an opinion? Thank you in advance!

Good morning, I can see on the picture the area of the skin that you seem to describe as fungus from the doctors opinion I can also see the redness on the lip that you visualize. I concur with the doctor that the hair loss might be a fungus. When it comes to the inflammation/redness on the lip. This could be a contact allergy. If you use plastic bowls for water and food, I would switch them to porcelain or stainless steel bowls. If not a contact allergy, you could also be dealing with food allergies for example. You could consult another veterinarian to get a second opinion or even see a very veterinary dermatologist. If you have changed Britney's food lately consider going back to the previous diet for several weeks and see if you see any improvemen. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Good luck
