My 5 month kittens little mouth has been smelling a bit odd, only if I stick my nose in his mouth (a given I suppose) but when I brushed his teeth, there was blood on the toothbrush. Do you think I may have brushed too hard? I feel terrible for him and didn't think I was going hard, though he was squirming a bit

Muffins might be suffering from gingivitis, but because of his young age i would recommend to wait at least 2-3 months before you get it checked, the reason for that is that he is probably still teething at the moment and his new set of permanent teeth are just setting up, this might be the cause of the smell.
