My dog is aggressive, food protective, and unneutered. What to do?

hello, my dog got out of his cage this morning and he was whining and barking, during the day he is very agressive (wants to bite) and over protective of his food and cage and blanket we keep in the cage. what should i do? should i be worries? could this be because he is not fixed? Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Male | unneutered
