Can a puppy develop an allergy to bland chicken if she's been eating it for weeks? She was having diarrhea for weeks now. Her tests are clear. Vet thinks it might be a food allergy. Prescribed royal canin hydrolyzed protein. But since we've been feeding her boiled chicken for her upset she said to mix it. She's off her metronidazole today & has been finicky with food (normal) she threw up bcuz her stomach was empty (normal) but then she threw up chicken. She ate kibble right after & is normal.

Hi and thank you for your question! I would highly recommend a food trial be done with snowball or get her tested for food allergies. This way you know what exactly she is allergic to and can avoid whatever it is. It is possible she could have developed a chicken allergy, yes. My best advice is to take her in for food allergy testing. Best of luck !
