My puppy's poop is solid but has mucus. Is it a food allergy?

My puppy is off metronidazole after a few weeks of diarrhea. When we took her to emergency her tests were clear. She acts completely fine other than the diarrhea w/ mucus. Her poop has been solid since she's been on it. vet doesn't think she has worms She hasn't been around any dogs or outside on the ground because she was spayed right before this started. She prescribed a new diet royal canin hydrolized protein. Her poop all day has been solid but the last one had mucus around it? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 6 months and 23 days old | 7.2 lbs

From what your are describing it sounds like Snowball has a potential food allergy. it will not be confirmed until she has been on the hypoallergenic food for at least 6 weeks. But solid feces with only a small amount of mucus sounds like she is improving. Make sure not to give her any treats or table scraps while she is on her food trial as this will confuse the results.
