My dog won't eat new food. Are inflamed anal glands the problem?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 10 months and 19 days old

Panda has become reluctant to eat he has recently changed to a holistic food and his poop is now very firm he had previously had blocked glands but now they are empty but on is imflammed would this cause him to not feel like eating have asked vet about giving rimidyl to reduce the irritation but what can I do to make him eat he was OK till this week when he stopped eating breakfast to start with he was eating food well before monday .

Sorry to hear about Panda. The anal gland inflammation / impaction can definitely cause significant discomfort, and thus, anorexia. I think a course of anti inflammatory medication and/or pain medication would probably help considerably if this is the case. If the new diet also does not appear to be to Panda's liking, you might consider switching back to something he was more successful with and something that resulted in more regular bowel movements.
