My cat has a mouth sore, is itching, and acting odd. Is it fleas?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 3 months old | 7 lbs

My cat has a semi gum infection outside her mouth it semi look like a lip .. shes been itching a bit (not a lot) lately and I m scared its fleas! although there are no hair loss but shes been sneezing and I feel her personality changed (she always disliked human socialization but now she meows and runs with every sudden sound and HATES being handled) HELP

If you see one flea, there could be many more. I would recommend that Alice be on year-round flea prevention for this issue. What you describe could be an eosinophilic granuloma. I recommend that Alice get checked out by a vet to confirm this possibility, or to see what else could be causing it. These granulomas can certainly flare up with inflammation or allergies, which would be caused by fleas. Other possible causes of itching include mites, ringworm, or other allergies.
