My cat has pink bumps and black specks on its lip. What is it?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 7 lbs

My cat has small pink bumbs right behind where the canine meets the bottom lip but too far back for the teeth to cause it. They seen to have black spekles around the area like dirt that comes off. What could this be?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If the bumps are symmetrical and look the same in each side they are likely the normal scent gland that is present in the lower lip. The black specks might be dried saliva. You can always post a picture. I hope this helps!
