Why is my 8-month German Shepherd so small with thin back legs?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 7 months and 21 days old | 33 lbs

I have bi Color gsd bitch. 8 months old. She is only 18 inches height. And her back legs thin but front leg healthy? This photo I took when she was 4 months old?

I can't really compare the size of the front and back legs from the angle of the picture. The way she is sitting it is also hard to see her conformation or body size. Some dogs can have stunted growth as compared to other dogs in the litter from being the runt, having a congenital disorder (like a liver shunt), intestinal parasites, or from poor nutrition. I recommend that you have Sandie checked out by a vet who will be able to look at her bone size, body weight, body condition, and can perform testing to see if there is something to be done to help her catch up.
