Dogs should be walked outside 2-3times a day for both physical and mental stimulation, health and fitness. It is not advisable to keep any dog, especially large breed dogs indoors and i would be concerned about his fitness and health including his social skills with people and other dogs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Dogs do love walks but they don't have to have one everyday to have a longer life. As long as Bruno is still able to get out and do his business and you give him daily attention, then he will be just as happy. The walks are a form of exercise, so make sure not to over-feed him so he doesn't become overweight. As long as he has daily attention from you, I am sure he will be just as happy. Where I live it has gotten cold so my dogs don't get walked anymore. I make sure they go outside to potty regularly, and we play inside and snuggle and they are happy. During the winter months, I cut back on their food a little since they get less outdoor time. If you are concerned, you can look into a dog walker to walk Bruno when you can't. Kisses to Bruno!
