I have mini dwarf lop rabbit. I have taken him to an exotic vet for years. They have a local farmer who brings in fresh hay to sell. I bought some from my vet which they recommend. My rabbit ended up getting fur mites. Is there any home remedies to kill and get rid of these. He's losing fur and the vet is giving me a hard time saying it's not from there hay I just need to help my rabbit. He's miserable

Rabbits can be treated for mites with ivermectin or revolution. I would however recommend taking Olaf to another vet to get the proper dosing. You do need to clean the cage every day for a least 1-2 weeks to help prevent re contamination from the mites. I hope that helps
