Why is my sick bird sitting low, ruffled, and pooping black?

I have a 15 year old parakeet who is sitting at the bottom of her cage with her back to me. Everytime I try to touch her she squachs at me. I think she might be constipated, because she had dried black poop in her cage. Her feathers are ruffled and shes sitting in a ball.im gonna try the digestive sand.
