My senior dog pees a lot, tests are normal. Should I get an X-ray?

I have a 12yr old Minpin/chihuahua and she has been peeing A LOT recently. Sometimes it just dribbles out taking a few minutes for a single pee. Her geriatric bloodwork and urine test came back normal. Also the color of her pee seems to be completely normal. All of her other behaviors are normal as she is still spunky and loves to play etc. Could it just be old age or would getting a X-ray be a good idea? I can't afford to be spending tons of money but want the best for my baby!

I'm sorry to hear Minnie is having urinary issues. If her bloodwork panel ruled out an underlying medical issue such as diabetes, I would recommend she have further testing done to try to determine the underlying cause for her urination issues. I would want to rule out a bladder stone or a mass in the bladder/urethra as other possible causes, which would be with either an X-ray or an ultrasound. Good luck!
