Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | 3 lbs

My sons budgie was flying around the room and perched on my oil burner and got some candle wax on his tail feathers and a little on his feet. Is there anything that i need to do?

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Unless the wax is interfering with flight or movement, then I would not be too concerned. But if you want to remove it, I would use a hairdryer on low & take your time softening up the wax. Gently work or scrape the wax from the feet & feathers, & all should be good. Thank you.
