Why is my cat peeing everywhere? Should I spay her or let her mate?

Hello, Please i am from Irak and my cat sussie had a male baby who was 4 month old and tried to marry her. She rfused that and i bring him to another Family since that she is urin in all Places. I dont know what i schoud do Shoud i let her marrige again or Sterilization process؟؟؟ Please i need Help because i love her so much

Spaying her would be best of Sussie's health. It will prevent her from developing a pyometra, which is a life threatening infection of the uterus. In addition, it will stop her from going into heat and the behavior of a cat in heat can be very annoying (the vocalization, the constant need for attention). I would speak to your vet about having her spayed. I hope this helps!

That must be so frustrating for you! I recommend taking her into your vet if you haven't already to rule out a medical cause behind this behavior. Cats with a UTI will urinate everywhere, and she will need antibiotics to treat it if she does have one. Once a medical cause is ruled out, I would recommend spaying her. Female cats will mark to attract a male, and spaying her will help decrease this behavior. Even if it is a UTI causing this, I would still recommend spaying her. She may continue to mark to attract a male, and spaying will have many health benefits for her, including prevention of a pyometra ( a life threatening infection of the uterus) in addition to decreasing the marking behavior.

Unfortunately this could be related to her heat cycle (hormones), a bladder infection or a behavioral issue. Since she can’t talk and tell you what’s going on, I recommend to have her checked by the veterinarian for a bladder infection. You may also discuss having her spayed which will eliminate that factor as well. If the veterinarian suspect this is behavioral, there are many things you can do to help encourage her to use a litter box. Just post again. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

Hello, sorry to hear about Suzy. It may be that her heat is causing the signs you are seeing. Cats in heat will vocalize more often and frequently and this is to be expected. However, the vomiting may or may not be associated with her heat cycle. If she continues to vomit, then you should have Suzy evaluated to make sure she does not have any evidence of dietary indiscretion, ingestion of foreign material or an infection in her uterus. If you want to prevent future heat cycles and the behavioral changes associated with this, then considering spaying her would be an option. Contact your veterinarian to have Suzy evaluated if she continues to vomit. Hope this helps and best of luck.

I see that Honey isn't spayed. I suspect she is in heat, and that is causing this behavior. Cats in heat are extremely annoying. If you want this behavior to stop, I would have her spayed. Best of luck.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! It is ultimately your decision whether you want to spay Noushmc or not. Most people find they do not like the behavior their cats display when in heat. Sometimes the cats will urine mark when intact and it leaves the uterus at risk for an infection (pyometra) when she is older. There are cats who have no problems. I hope this helps!

When is the best time to get my cat spayed? Should I even do it? She's been in heat 3x already and she easily calms down, doesn't bother anyone or try to get away.
Since Baby is over 1 year, she can be neutered any time now. I would recommend that she is neutered for medical reason, first the high risk of developing mammary cancer which is malignant in cats and second uterus cancer and/or possible uterus infection. Think about her future health, the answer will be clear. Hope this helps !

There are a few reasons spaying is still recommended. The first is that it’s impossible to guarantee that Pango will never slip out the door - cats can be quite sneaky and get outside with no one noticing, and a cat in heat might be more interested in trying to get outside. Intact female cats are prone to developing uterine infections and mammary diseases. Finally, female cats in heat can be annoying - they tend to be very vocal especially at night and seek attention frequently, and the heat cycle can last for months if they are not bred.

Assuming that Niyla’s vocalization and need for socialization are related to her going into heat, then yes, it is quite likely that having her spayed will help this behavior to improve. There could be other anxiety-related behaviors at play, but I would consider first having her spayed and then watching to see if these issues resolve. If not, it may be worth consulting a veterinary behaviorist or discussing anti-anxiety medication with your vet. I hope this helps and that all goes well!

Your cat is in heat :) she basically wants to go outside and mate with a male cat. if you want this behavior to stop you need to take her to the vet to get spayed, that is pretty much the only long term solution.

At 4 months of age you still have a few months to decide before she will be old enough to have it done anyways. But there are several health benefits to staying her. It can decrease the chance if manmary cancer in the future... if cats get mammary tumors it is 85% cancerous and aggressive. It will also decrease the risk of an infected uterus which can lead to sepsis and death if not caught in time... the treatment is an emergency spay! You will not have to deal with a cat in heat.. they are very loud and clingy and attract males from outside. There is little chance her personality will change from this procedure and the health benefits are worth it
