My chihuahua is spacing out after Robitussin. Should I be worried?

I got an off brand version that had the same ingredients as Robitussin, and I have been giving my chihuahua (about 10lbs) 1mL every 8 hours. My mom said he looked like he was spacing out. Should I be worried? Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 9 years and 4 months old | 10 lbs

Unfortunately, due to the various brands, formulations, and ingredients in all of the different robitussins, it is very difficult for me to say whether or not you have given something that is too high a quantity or if there could have been something toxic in the inactive ingredients. IF you think your could have ingested a poison, I would encourage you to contact pet poison control with the exact ingredient list on the product you used, and concentration of the active ingredients. This will provide them with the information needed to make an informed recommendation. Hope this helps.
