Can a dog really be left home alone for 5 days with an indoor potty?

Hi there, my ex girlfriend is thinking that she can leave her dog home alone for 5 days without anyone to check and her mom put a piece of grass inside for the dog to pee/poop on. I don't think this is right. What are your thoughts, so i can relay them to her. Thanks

I think i have answered your girlfriend to a similar question a few minutes ago, i wrote that this is not an option, your dog must go out at least twice a day and must be fed every day as well as provided fresh water. you must find another solution- either kennels, someone to come to the house twice a day or take her with you.
