My dog has a swollen eye with yellow pus. Should I give her Keflex?

Have a 4 year old female pit that has her right eye swollen and her eye lid is stick out. She also has yellow puss coming out. I have kflex should I give it to her. Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | 70 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There are many reasons Chloe's eye may look like that: an infection, a scratch on her eye, glaucoma or inflammation. It won't hurt to give her the Keflex but we treat eye conditions with ointments or drops. I always recommend immediate veterinary care when there are issues with the eyes. Good luck!
