Why is my cat suddenly skittish and won't let me clip her nails?

I got this cat at humane society an was very loveable. 3 months after we her she has become very skidish. She diesnt come to her name or kitty kitty. Cant even get her to clip her claws. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Female | spayed | 10 lbs
