Why is my cat acting strange with a bad eye after being spayed?

i had my two cats spayed yesterday the kitten is fine but her mother who is 2 is offish with me and my husbsnd and looks like she has got a bad eye i have given them pain relief from the vets but she is not right. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | 1 year and 11 months old

Hi there and thanks for your post! It sounds like Poppy may be dealing with an infection, either eye or upper respiratory infection. Many cats develop upper respiratory infection symptoms due to herpes virus that they were exposed to as kittens. If the eye is discharging and she is uncomfortable, I would get her examined by the vet to ensure there is nothing serious going on.
