My dog has scabby, pus-filled blisters. Is it a bacterial infection?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Help! I just found a strange, scabby-looking blister thing on my dog and I don't know what caused it. He does have fleas, not too badly, but this is different from the typical little flea bites here and there. The scabs/ flaky skin he usually has are either from the flea bites or from his allergies. What I just found seems to have pus inside and there are like four different spots in the same area. I'm scared!

I'm sorry to hear Kobe isn't feeling well. It looks like he has a bacterial infection of his skin. It could be secondary from the fleas or his allergies. It's nothing to be alarmed about. I would take him to the vet during normal business hours to diagnose and get him started on antibiotics. Good luck and kisses to Kobe!
