Cat gained weight, peed on floor, attacked kittens. Is he sick or stressed?

my cat has gained weight over the past while. he peed on the floor a few times. then this morning, he did a rare thing and attacked, growled and hissed at the kittens he usually cuddles with. what is going on?

I am sorry that Baby is having some behavioral issues. I would recommend taking him to the vet to rule out all possible medical issues. You did not list Baby's age but I would be concerned about possible diabetes, urinary tract infections, infectious disease or pain(maybe trauma). However a vet will be able to determine if Baby is actually sick. If baby is healthy than most likely the change in behavior is due to stress and anxiety in the house. With cats this can change as they get older. I recommend trying to increase number of litter boxes and food dishes. Also try feliway which is a cat pheromone to help decrease stress
