You can use a diaper on your dog when you are unable to keep an eye on her. However, if you do this routinely it will be even more difficult to potty train her. Once the doapernis wet it needs to be removed soon so it will not cause urine scalding on the skin. Young puppies need to be walked every hour or so when starting potty training. If this is not feasible for you then I would recommend placing puppy pads around the house if you are unable to walk her outside and/or keeping her to a confined area. Crate training her will also help speed up potty training. Use positive reinforcement, like treats and lots of verbal praise, when she does go outside. It can take a couple of months to get your puppy fully potty trained. The keys to success are patience and persistence. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
