Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Female | spayed | 2 years and 5 months old | 47 lbs
I recently got Lacey spayed due to having false pregnancies. When I picked up from the vet, the vet tech said that the vet mentioned she needed to lose some weight. Last vet visit she was 48 lbs, she she was spayed she was 44lbs. For a beagle, is that to heavy? Also, what can I give her to help her lose weight, besides excercise? Her tits sag due to the false pregnancy but was told it would tighten up after her being spayed.

Yes she is probably slightly overweight, you can start by changing her food to a lower calorie diet (could be from the same brand), you need to be very strict regarding the quantity of food you are giving her daily (as instructed on the food label). if it doesn't help she will then need to be put on a prescription diet for weight loss. the tit sag is normal, it might not go back to the previous state completely but will get much better with time.
