My cat's neck wound is spreading and leaking water. What to do?

Few days back, I found my cat with a swelling beyond his neck. We applied ointment and gave tablet, when it became a wound. It got dried, but after 2,3 days, it found to be spreading. And today the wound broke and whatever he drunk, came out through the hole. What can I do for his cure ? Pet's info: Cat | Bombay | 4 years and 7 months old

This sounds like a very serious injury and I would strongly recommend that he be seen by a veterinarian immediately. If he is drinking and the water is coming out of the wound, this will very likely require surgery, along with antibiotics and pain medications.
