My dog ate a brownie. Is it safe? What about chocolate or xylitol?

My dog ate a little Debbie brownie. He's a 3 year old shitzu mix. He weighs 13 pounds. I looked at the ingredients and cocoa was 13th on the list. I've heard there's not much cocoa in those brownies. I just wanted to check on the sugar content. He threw up a little but it wasn't brown.

As long as the sweetener wasn't xylitol you should be ok. And you are correct, it wasn't enough chocolate to be concerned. You may see some vomiting or diarrhea tonight or tomorrow. Good luck and kisses to Bertram!
