Having the dental disease addressed is a great thing to do because it can lead to other health problems in the future. Tracheal irritation from the tube is common and generally short lived and mild. Pancreatitis can causes a decreased appetite and lethargy with vomiting or diarrhea. It is unlikely related to the dental. Most cases do require IV fluids and supportive care and it can be a slow recovery but most do fine with the treatment

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I am so sorry Maltida is so sick. I am glad you are under a Veterinarians care. I am assuming that "pantric" is pancreatitis. That could have been caused by medications or eating fatty foods. It is a bit unusual for a dental and anesthesia to cause pancreatitis. If that isn't what you meant by "pantric" please let me know. Pancreatitis is a medically managed inflammatory condition of the pancreas. The pancreas aids in digestion. It is painful and makes dogs and cats feel nauseous. If the tests that come back today confirm that she may have it, she should be put on pain medication, anti-nausea medications and an antibiotic. Pancreatitis can be on a scale of mild to severe. If she is still not eating today I would recommend she be hospitalized for the weekend. That way she can receive IV fluids and IV medications to support her until she eats. The prognosis for pancreatitis if mild to moderate is usually good. Severe cases can have a poor prognosis. Sadly it may not be a quick fix. If she was my dog I would hospitalize if she isn't improving. Please post again or sign up for a consult when you hear the results. Write down the diagnosis so someone here can give you their opinion. I wish you the best of luck!
