My puppy has diarrhea, can't walk, and is crying. Is it parvo?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female

My puppy had diarrhea for almost a week already but she still eats a lot. However, it seems like she cant move her back legs (looks paralyzed) I dont know what to do she's been crying like she's in pain but my parents won't allow me to take her to vet. Is it a sign of parvo disease? She used to be playful :(

Hello, sorry to hear about Big. It may be a sign of parasites or parvovirus. However, none of these typically cause paralysis. I would make sure she wasn't accidentally hit, or stepped on, and though that may be the reason why she is in pain, unable to walk and having diarrhea. Big should definitely be evaluated by a veterinarian, but if you're unable to, perhaps a local shelter or rescue group may be able to help Big out. Best of luck and hope this helps.
