What food should I feed my dog with liver disease: protein, fat, dry/wet?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 11 years and 7 months old

Tanner has liver cancer/liver disease. Should he have low or high protein food and low or high fat? Dry food or canned food?

Hi! Thanks for letting us take care of you today! Usually you want a diet with low to moderate amounts of a high quality protein. There are several excellent diets for liver disease in the market from Hills, Purina and Royal canin, among others. It should not matter if canned or dry. I would just choose whatever Tanner prefers.
