My new 7-week puppy sleeps a lot and won't eat. Is this normal?

I just got a new puppy yesterday. She went from an apartment with a few kids over 5 to a 2 year old and two cats, as well as a large house. She is 7 weeks old, but all she does is lie around and sleep. She barely eats anything but will drink a lot and go to the bathroom. She will play a little bit, but immediately crawls into my lap and goes to sleep for 30 minutes. Is this normal or is she sick? Athena is such a cute puppy! Puppies will typically nap quite a bit during the day, which is normal as they are growing. If you think Athena's appetite is decreased then I would get her seen by your vet to ensure she is healthy and that there are no problems to be concerned about. She may have preference towards certain textures of food as well. If you have not tried canned food (either chunky or pate form) I would try this and see if she will eat this more readily. She should still receive her initial examination with a vet and discuss vaccinations, etc. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns you may have.
