Is my cat's behavior changing because my husband has cancer?

My cat has changed behavior since my husband was diagnosed with cancer and started Chemo. Is this normal and what can I do about it? Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 9 lbs

I am sorry to hear about your husband's health issues and wish him a full recovery. Pets are usually very close to their owner and feel changes in their activities and emotions. When the house and its humans are acting a little different cat can feel stressed and hide more than usual. .
