Is my cat's behavior changing because my husband has cancer?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 9 lbs

My cat has changed behavior since my husband was diagnosed with cancer and started Chemo. Is this normal and what can I do about it?

I am sorry to hear about your husband's health issues and wish him a full recovery. Pets are usually very close to their owner and feel changes in their activities and emotions. When the house and its humans are acting a little different cat can feel stressed and hide more than usual. . I am not sure what your cat is doing differently but hope you will repost on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with a little bit more details about what Walter does do differently. I wish you the best for you and your husband.
