My unvaccinated puppy licked my wound. Should I worry about rabies?

Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | 15 lbs

I have a new shih tzu puppy (7 months) he has his temporary daapp vaccines but not his rabies vaccines yet but he seems normal and acts normal he just gets to playful at times and barks and once he bit me or licked my open wound should i be worried about rabies

You do not need to be worried about your dog being contagious with rabies as your dog is extremely unlikely to have rabies if he is acting normal. However, I do advise that you take him to his veterinarian to get the rabies vaccine just in case he is exposed. You should be fine. Have a good evening!
