My 40-day-old kitten's mother is gone. Will she return home?

her mother is also her pet but today she has gone out of our for 5 hours and has not come back wiil it come back the kitten is about 40 days old. Pet's info: Cat | Bengal | Female | unspayed

I would start supplementing the kitten with kitten formula fed out of a syringe or kitten bottle every 3-4 hours. Some times the mom will abandon her kitten but sometimes she will come back. I would try to supplement for now just so the kitten won't have any issues. I hope this helps.
