Do dry cat food feeding instructions apply to my indoor/outdoor cat?

I have indoor outdoor cat and I feed him dry cat food and I found the instructions back of the dry cat food. So, I wonder, does the instructions back of the dry cat food is only for indoor only???? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 4 months old | 9 lbs

So there is a chance that if Neo is expending more energy by going outdoors that he may need more of the food to keep up with his calorie needs. However, it is not a problem to feed an indoor formula to an indoor outdoor cat.
