My cat's skin problem is spreading despite vet care. What now?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 20 lbs

My cat is under vet care for 2months for eosinophils skin problem he has had 3 doses of steroid every 2 weeks and 2 antioniotic shots and his skin was respondinging and now the skin lesions are spreading I also have been twice a week bathing him with medicated shampoo. What other options are there. I also changed his food 6 weeks ago to grain free and added krill oil

I would talk to your vet about doing a biopsy or a culture and sensitivity. The biopsy may be able to tell a different skin condition (underlying mange, fungal infection, etc) that may require different medications than just antibiotics and steroids. A culture and sensitivity may reveal a resistant bacteria that isn't responding to the current antibiotics. I hope this helps.
