My senior dog is blind, deaf, incontinent. Is it time to say goodbye?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Female | spayed | 16 years and 7 months old | 48 lbs

My 16 year old Border Collie is totally blind and deaf, has trouble standing up and walking, She has collapsed a few times by her food bowl and has now seemed to have developed fecal incontinence (twice a day for about a week). Do you think it's time to put her to sleep? She never wags her tail. She has a healthy appetite. Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that but according to your description i do believe it is time to have her put to sleep as her quality of life is really not good anymore and this should always be the main concern.
