My puppy is 4 months he recently started scratching and has red bumps that scabed over fron scratching almost like a hotspot we treated as a hot spot and gave him benadryl it seemed to help now the bumps are back

Hi there and thank you for your post! With your description you have provided and seeing that pepper is a young dog, I would certainly want to make sure he does not have demodex mites causing the problem. He may also be deali g with a bit of a skin infection and benadryl won't treat that unfortunately. I would get him seen by your vet to rule some common causes out first in order to begin the most appropriate therapy. If you cannot get to a vet right away, you can start bathing him with an antibacterial shampoo such as Duoxo chlorhexidine PS combination and bathe him twice weekly until resolved. However, if the bumps are Getting worse and there is no improvement, I would get his vet to examine him. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction.
