Hello, my puppy has a slight cough and reading about it online says he shouldn't go outside. It's been 24 hours and it is way less frequent now and I can tell he really wants to play outside. Should I keep him inside still or is it ok to walk him?

I do not think the cough should prevent you from taking Luke outside. However, I would allow him to go outside to use the restroom but let him limit his own activity. If he has energy and wants to play that is fine but I would not take him on long runs/walks. I do recommend limiting where you take him until he is fully vaccinated. If he continues to cough and is not improving I would recommend taking him to a vet for a food exam. Young dogs can get kennel cough, upper respiratory infections, pneumonia, parasites and even allergies that can cause a cough. If at anytime Luke is not feeling well I would recommend taking him to a vet for a good exam. Hope Luke feels better soon
