Poor Bob! If he is in visible pain, and has sores or a protruding rectum, along with diarrhea it is best to seek veterinary care ASAP. It is possible there could be an underlying illness, obstruction, possible prolapse to the rectum, parasites or more causing his pain and discomfort. Seeking veterinary care ASAP to have him seen and treated is best.
