My dog is shaking, whining, and won't move; is his back leg hurt?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Italian Greyhound | Male | unneutered | 11 years and 2 months old | 16 lbs

My dog had sever shaking last night. And then all night he refused to move and was whining. Today the same is happening. And he won't come when I call him or look at me at all. It seems like his back leg is bothering him. But he can walk, eat, and drink water. I don't know what's wrong with him.

Shaking is usually a sign of pain, so it could be due to pain in his back leg or possibly due to a slipped disk. you will need to take Junior to the vet as he will surely need some pain killers at the very least.
