Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 33 lbs
My dog has 1/2 inch flat white worms coming out of her bum. I've done some research and am pretty confident that she has tape worms. We had a really hard summer for fleas and I'm sure she has ingested some which would be the cause of the worms. I need to know which medication or ingredient would work best to rid her of these ASAP. Thank you for your help!

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Yes, certainly sounds like Roxy is passing tapeworms based on your description. The most common tapeworm is flea transmitted like you discuss. There are over the counter medicines and the drug you would want to use is called Praziquantal. It is available under many brand names but that is the drug that we use in the States to treat most tapeworm infections. Good luck with Roxy
