My dog cries and bites when picked up. What's causing his sudden pain?

Well my dog was doing fine all morning and some what of the after noon later on he started with some problems when I tired to pick him up he started crying and will bite so he can be let go I tired to see what the problem is but when I try to carry him everything hurt his back his side from the left hurt lower down his stomach or sometimes on the rib area he cries when he is in his bed but just upnhis head up and stares at the wall I just want to know what the real problem may be it will help. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 4 years and 8 months old

It's hard to know where the problem is exactly and what is causing it, but Charlie is in pain, no doubt about it. i would recommend taking him to the vet ASAP, it could be a slipped disk in the spine, a trauma or an internal condition and as the pain sounds severe it is in my opinion quite urgent.
