My dog has fleas after Seresto collar. Is it safe to apply new drops?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 6 days old | 35 lbs

The Seresto collar did not work for my dog. He had pet armor about a week before the collar was put on and had never had fleas. He is 4 months old. He's had the collar on a month and now has fleas bad digging I feel horrible. I bought more drops removed collar is it safe to apply them?

I would recommend to wait a couple of days before applying the new flea treatment. Give him a bath the same day you remove the collar, wait 48 hours and then apply the drops. Here is a list of good quality flea (and ticks) treatment. Spot ons: Revolution, Advantage, Advantage Multi, Bravecto spot on (ticks as well), Comfortis. A good house spray (just in case) would be Indoorex.
