My potbelly pig came home from surgery today and I was told that he was not to have water. I am afraid he will dehydrate. Can you please help me?

I am assuming the veterinarian told you this, since he just had surgery. If they said this, then there is a good reason and it's best to follow their advise. However, they should have put a time limit on when to give him water again. This should be sometime in the next 24 hours. If you did not get a time limit from the vet, then you should ask them at the next available opportunity. It will take much longer than 24 hours for Wilber to get dehydrated, so no need to worry. Also, they are often given plenty of fluid while they are having the surgery, so they are well hydrated by the time they go home. I hope that helps and Wilber gets better soon.
