Hello, sorry t hear about Tex. Diarrhea in puppies can be caused by multiple reasons, however, in puppies there is a few that tend to be the reason for diarrhea. Intestinal parasites are frequently associated with diarrhea, viral infections such as parvovirus can cause diarrhea, and dietary indiscretions can also cause diarrhea. If the diarrhea does not resolve with the deworming, or if Tex develops vomiting, lethargy, or a decreased appetite, I would recommend having your veterinarian re-evaluate him. You may also try feeding him a bland diet for a 3-5 days consisting of plain white rice, skinless and boneless boiled chicken, and cottage cheese low fat to give his GI tract some rest. Hope this helps.
